Travel Guidelines for Soldiers:

- Soldiers may travel by Personal Vehicle, Air, Amtrak or Greyhound Bus.
- Soldiers who wish to have family members pick them up with personal vehicle must coordinate with their 1SG or CDR. Taxi, Uber or rideshare services are NOT authorized.
- It is recommended that Soldiers purchase tickets through Victory Travel. Soldiers must depart and return from the following airports ONLY and within the times indicated below:

Soldiers are transported by group to and from the airports, train stations, and Greyhound bus terminals by Fort Jackson contracted shuttle. The Army does NOT provide airport transportation free of charge for personal leave. Therefore, these are Fort Jackson contracted shuttle buses to pick up soldiers on Fort Jackson and transport them to the airports, train stations, and Greyhound bus terminals.
For those traveling home by Greyhound commercial bus, a shuttle ticket is also required to get them to the Columbia SC bus station.

If there are weather delays across the country, shuttle service will continue until all soldiers have departed and/or returned to Fort Jackson.
If you make travel reservations on your own, you must still purchase a ticket through Victory Travel for the Fort Jackson contracted shuttle to the airports.
No Ubers, Lyft or rideshare services are authorized.
